An Attempt to Hide by ~AngelofGod87:iconAngelofGod87:

I hate you.
And everything about you.
The way you can point me out of a crowd
And make me feel alive again.

The way you comfort me when I'm hurt
And how you always, those words that I've never heard
Until you came along.

You stick up for me when I'm bullied
And I hate that you care about me.
Nobody has ever dared to express
any other feeling besides hatred towards me.

I've gotten used to walking in the shadows
Labelled as the "freak".
Hiding has become my forte.
But then you changed all that when you shined your light on me.

You taught me how to live
During the moment when I wish I could die.
You showed me compassion and love
When all I could feel was bitterness and rejection.

And as I continued to live life with you next to me,
All I wanted was for you to leave
To show me that the world was exactly how I theorized
Dark, dangerous, and deprived of feeling.

But you had to prove me wrong.
You had to make the all the pain I felt
slowly disinitigrate.

It's been getting harder and harder to hate you.
I sill want you to just leave me alone for the rest of my life.
But in the end, I take back that thought.
Because if you hadn't forced me out of my hiding place,
Then there would just be one more place on the planet.

Very beautiful. It reminds me of a time in my life that I don't want to look back on, but I know I'll have to face someday. I doubt I'll do it as gracefully as this poem flows, but at least now I have that someone to help me through it. The only issue is that someone is my mom. :lmao:

There is one thing I see that's off though. Shouldn't the 'sill' in the second line of the last paragraph be 'still'? Just trying to help. ^.^
